RE: 2018-01-21: Public Journal -> Positive Tone (+ Pulled Beef!)

in #life7 years ago

I totally relate to the bit about writing a diary. I tried to maintain a diary as well where I would write every mundane event of the day right at the day's end. And if I didn't get to do it that day, I would do it the next day and recollect the events to the best of my memory. I only did this for a few months though. I lost motivation and it served no purpose other than feeling like I'm maintaining a habit and being consistent, with a conventionally "good" habit of diary writing. Eventually I just tore it up, poured ink over it and discarded it. Diary writing should be about the important stuff in a positive light. It shouldn't be self-depreciating. That's quite damaging in the long run. Good luck to you for maintaining it henceforth!

Thank you for the thoughtful response, I'll try to maintain my positive voice!

More power to you! Writing a diary requires a delicate balance in the tone and content in other for it to be productive and beneficial. Loved the food pictures, by the way :D
