At least both parties aren't expecting the other one to go out and spend a bunch of money on something completely pointless!

Agreed. A few weeks back we realized at night we were out of coffee. The next morning he came back to the house to bring me a fresh latte, even though I said I would handle it. That was better than any flowers any other woman ever received. At least it was for me. :)
EXACTLY!!! I surprised my gf with a Green Tea a few times when she was running late and couldn't make one! It was like I hit the lottery! I think she appreciated that more than anything!!
