Continuing on with my exploration of the brain as a powerful and amazing computer, we can imagine what undiscovered powers the brain may hold that we will learn to exploit in the future. Time travel is a holy grail of science, and represents a mastery of the Universe. Can the brain be a functional or metaphorical time machine?
I have memories that are etched into my mind, or at least I thought that was the case, but is there any validity to the belief that the brain is capable of the only type of time travel that exists?
I have a memory that I accessed concerning an employee who died where I work. My memory is so vivid that it almost seems like it happened just yesterday. Do I travel through time and enter this time period? No, but the memory is a hook that takes me back to that time period. Certain memories serve as anchors into our past, and may also serve as memory pools that we can use to really delve into out past.
Is it possible that one day we can enhance our memory recall to the point where "time travel" or can we actually use our brains as quantum computers to physically move through time? Are anchor memories a way to actually travel through time? The Universe is shaped like a brain cell, and time is a very real part of the Universe itself. There is a theory that the Universe contains all the time (past, present and future) inside itself, and if so there is a potential to actually travel through time using sophisticated technology.
Time travel may be possible using our brain. Both physically and metaphorically by pondering the events of the past utilizing technology.
