That In-Between State of Sick and Well

Today I'm working on breathing. I caught a cold, and it's my first one since COVID started. My immune system is in shock. It's not handling the simple virus very well. That means taking it slow even though I want to be jumping through hoops and working ahead despite it being Monday.

I love Mondays! Mondays are for working ahead, not resting!

nap time

What I should be doing right now is taking a nap. I keep telling myself I'm going to, but I find myself back at my desk typing away at one thing or another. I can feel that my body is tired. The Dayquil is doing its work. I really should lay myself down and enjoy an hour's rest, but my brain is at odds with my body.

I was so relieved to wake up feeling better this morning. I'm far from being well, but it was good to be able to get a full breath there for a minute. As soon as I started moving around, everything closed up again. But that's what nose sprays and allergy meds plus Dayquil are for.

It's a gorgeous day outside. I think I'll go out on the porch, practice some Spanish and then see if I can get my body to take that nap. At worst, I can rest and read. I'm in the middle of Stephen King's Fairy Tale. I'm really enjoying it. Give me any King with a thinnie to pass through in it and I'm happy.

Maybe the cats will lay down with me. They do love cuddling. I don't know how I would have managed if I'd gotten cats that didn't crave pets and snuggle time. I'll have to write about why I got cats in the first place, come to think of it. Alright. That's enough procrastinating. I need that rest!

You do need the rest, lol. You have an interesting body system. It's like you body favours productivity. You're way ahead of everyone I reckon, lol.

I have a Stephen king I haven't even started. Maybe I will get to it soon, maybe.
