There isn't always somewhere to go or something crazy to do.. sometimes you have to make your own fun! I set out to create an enjoyable day in for my husband and I. It was Friday, so an obligatory workout ensued, Fridays are "doubles day" on my current plan, T25. After my muscles were screaming and body completely sapped of moisture, I set out for some TLC!

I can't leave out my lunch Friday, an english muffin with uncured bacon, spinach, cheddar cheese and two egg whites. I could have eaten twelve of these but settled for just one hehe.

While my husband was showering off, I prepared the tub. I had bought Barefoot brand Sangria earlier, thinking it would come in handy at some point. It was already nice and fruity, but I still jazzed it up by soaking apples and strawberries hours before serving. The flowers look real! They're honestly just a realistic png flower from google, I added the leaf as well... when you haven't got paper umbrellas you make do.

We worked out hard this week so a "detox" bath would do us some good. I mixed Epsom salt, dead sea salt, pink sea salt and the zest of a lime to create a tropical blend that would soothe muscles. I felt fancy creating a grapefruit scrub, displayed in the grapefruits peel. The mix was simple and done in a blender: one cup sugar, one tablespoon avocado oil and the inside of one whole grapefruit. We used it right there in the tub!

Heres the sangria and decoration close up! I was so pleased with how they turned out. The wine was made SO much better by adding yummy fruit.

To be honest I never eat grapefruit and bought a big sack by mistake. I had originally planned to buy oranges, but a mix up in signs at the store gave way to this whole shebang. Kismet I suppose. When life gives you grapefruit, make a tropical bath experience and keep it movin. I needed to use up the fruit so I cut thin slices and threw them right in the tub, they added a lot of color and ambiance so I was happy.
