Jump in the past: the medieval event!

in #life6 years ago

As I wrote many times, I live in Tuscany, a region in the middle of Italy. My city is a small city close to Florence and you can understand our history is really a long ancient history and sometimes  we love to "celebrate" the past organizing different events that remind it. We use to dedicate some days in the year to Renaissance and/or Medieval time and today was one of those day!

In the beautiful park around the ancient Fortress there were a lot f people with beautiful medieval clothes and a lot of stand where the citizen could see some copies of medieval object. I have to say it was funny to see medieval people walking in relax between "normal" people ^_^

It was really a party for children and adults, because the sensation was really like a jump in the past. Sure, just the best part of the past, fortunately now we can have some innovation that make our life better . For example, in the following pic you can see a representation of a sort of doctor during that time. It's not so clear, but in the stand there are a lot of different "strange" tools to take care of people ^_^

The second pic is about a play of a sort of trial against Dante and other famous poets of our past. It was a funny representation for children too, but it's a nice way the help the children to know our history.

All around there were young girls and guys,  ancient men and women, who were wearing the ancient costumes.

it was not a reenactment of an episode happened in my city, but just some different group of people from all my region who decided to remember that times and to enjoy it all together ^_^

Ok, there was not just awesome things to see, but also some objects (just copies) to remember how dark was that time:

Don't worry, the blood on it is not real, but many people focused their attention on it, especially to take some funny photos ;)

See ya later

Io le adoro. Abiti stupendi, un'atmosfera giocosa e un modo alternativo per approcciarsi al nostro passato ^_^

Sounds like a wonderful cultural experience that I'm sure it's educational and wonderful to have. I've heard of these sort of things in Iowa where I live. Thanks so much for sharing as I enjoyed it0

Yes, it's a nice cultural experience and children (and adult too ^^) can learn a bit more about ur history ^^

This looks amazing. The sort of thing one HOPES to stumble across when travelling through small foreign villages. What a dream it would have been to stumble into your town in Tuscanny on a day like this to be greeted by bright pantalooned guards and ancient costumes. And yes, even the bloody stump with the basket waiting for a head.

I'm saying I'm 'officially' back today in that I did a proper art post and am going about tyring to vote. Still not sure how mana works, but I suppose it will all iron out.

During the last days I was here just randomly to try how the HF20 is going. I think soon everything come back to normal, but like you I'm still not sure how mana works ^_^
