i didnt realize you prepped tires for oval track, thought that was just something people did for drag racing.
i never drove on a track (go cart track i dont count) before so no clue about any of that stuff.

Oh yeah, we do a ton of tire prep ussually. we slipped up or just got lazy today. we should have stuck to our normal routine. i will ussually spend about 45 minutes to an hour per tire grinding, grooving, siping and needling it. I made a post about it when i first got on here a while back if you want to check it out here
There is a video in there at the bottom where we made our tire machine for an entry to win a high dollar tire machine that shows our tire machine i made out of a treadmill. :)
we did not win but i love our invention. cuts about 15 to 20 minutes off of prep time per tire.
It works like a charm and everyone at the track loves it. Great conversation piece.
Wow i had no clue it was that much but when i think about it i understand, thats all thats contacting the ground so i get how important wheels must be.
i opened it up in another tab, once i finish my replies ill check it out. i hove homemade stuff so it sounds like its right up my alley.
