Anyone can draw crop circles! Thanks to ------>
When you finish your first compass and straightedge reconstruction of a crop circle, you'll realize that at least some of them were made by a highly evolved, inter-dimensional intelligence, in service to others out of universal love.
But seriously, the truth is that crop circles are absolutely more mysterious and interesting than corporate media would have you believe.
The stories are bizarre, the physical evidence is astonishing, and the geometry is divine.
So set aside your preconceptions and prepare to have your mind blown.
I've included some of my reconstructions, and I will look at an article written by the Smithsonian about how crop circles are all just a big "hoax".
Are they made by clever human artists, by the military as a PSYOP, or by IDI (inter-dimensional intelligence)?
Whoever is responsible creates spectacular works of art from complex geometric architecture embedded with rich lessons in the mathematical relationship of form.
The Stories
Most appear in England during short summer nights. Farmers discover laid crop after a stormy night without a single muddy boot print.
"More than 80 witnesses have witnessed crop circles being created within a few seconds by one or more balls of light (orbs)." --http://cropcirclefacts.com/
Pilots have witnessed the appearance of crop circles in fields they had flown over minutes ago.
There are stories of strange synchronicity too.
But all these are just stories, exaggerations . . . maybe.
You can get lost in high strangeness for days reading witness accounts. I'm far too curious to jump to conclusions though. Ultimately, there is no way to know if the witness accounts are true. Let's assume it's all bs (I'm not saying it is) and take a look at the physical evidence.
The Physical Evidence
Most crop circles can be reproduced by rope and board technique, by flattening the crop. No mystery.
There is a small percent though, referred to as the genuine phenomenon by circle researchers, that have never been successfully reproduced because it is not known how they are made! From now on, when I say crop circles, I'm referring to the genuine phenomenon.
Here's a fox news report with Michio Kaku. This is one of the more honest corporate news reports, stating correctly that some of the formations are still a mystery. However, Kaku is incorrect that Doug and Dave started it all. Circles and forms appearing in fields has been written about in literature for hundreds of years.
Even Michio Kaku can't deny the defining characteristic of the genuine phenomenon--bent and burst nodes. Often the crop is bent a few inches above the soil, and continues to grow, unharmed. This is perhaps the most astonishing evidence, and suggests technology must be used. It is also very difficult to dismiss as fraud or pseudo-science because bent nodes have been collected, photographed, and analyzed by different groups around the world.
The canola oil plant has a structure like celery. If the stalk is bent more than about 45°, the stalk will break. When crop circles are found in canola fields, the stalks are bent 90°. Research and laboratory tests suggest that microwave or ultrasound may be the only method capable of producing this effect, but plant biologists are still baffled by this phenomenon. --http://cropcirclefacts.com/
To anyone who has recreated the designs on paper, Kaku's suggestion that a microwave oven is used, connected to a generator, seems like a joke. It is difficult to imagine how that could achieve such a high level of accuracy. Crop at the edges would be partially bent. To avoid walking within the circle and damaging crop, the oven would need to be suspended and controlled from outside the circle, somehow. But like any magician, or ex-magician, knows, just because I can't imagine how it is done, certainly doesn't mean it was aliens, or advanced technology. So, I have to sit in the wonderful and itchy space of not knowing.
More physical evidence:
the plants are laid in precise geometric swirl patterns with very little signs of physical damage. There may be light burn marks at the base of stems, altered cellular structure and soil chemistry, increased magnetic particle deposits, discrepancies in background radiation, alteration of the local electromagnetic field, depletion of the local watershed, along with long-lasting energy patterns. Some analyzed crop circles have shown higher radiation levels. --http://cropcirclefacts.com/
Even if all of the different groups of researchers are conspiring to commit fraud and all the physical evidence is fake (it's not), recreating crop circles on paper brings a deeper understanding of their complexity and otherworldly quality.
Regardless of your opinion of the physical evidence and its origins, the geometric message is sophisticated, uplifting, and undeniable.
The Geometry
Some of them are so complex, they are difficult to recreate with a pencil on paper let alone design then create them in a field of wheat, with 4 hrs of darkness, during a storm, with no witnesses, and without damaging the crop.
Unfortunately, the geometry must be reconstructed on paper to understand its elegance and sophistication. Some crop circles are masterful designs from an ingenious mind. People who study geometry and engineering understand this. The Smithsonian doesn't.
A formation 150 ft. wide appeared near Wiltshire in 2008. Was it made on a whim by wily hoaxers after a night at the pub? I'll let you decide.
Taken from Bert Jannsen's website:
Note: this is not proof that this formation wasn't made by humans.
To understand the symbolism, read Sacred Geometry Philosophy and Practice by Robert Lawlor.

Skypal's Reconstructions
I have done many, about a hundred. This is one of my favourites. A beautiful, masterful design, which appeared in a field of canola adjacent to Stonehenge on May 9th, 2010. The artist remains anonymous. There were no witnesses. Drawing it was magic.
Here is my drawing of it, made possible by the brilliant Zef Damen
This one always gets a good reaction. Appeared at Woodborough, Wiltshire, 08/12/2000. Check out the tiny people.
Here is my drawing, which I will never do again. Here is the Zef meistro's step-by-step guide.
It is because of crop circles I ended up learning more about sacred geometry. Now I make my own designs, like this one.
Fake News
I want to make myself clear. I don't believe IDI, ET, spirits, ferries, or elves create crop circles. I also don't believe that all crop circles are human made. Belief is too much of a constraint for my curiosity.
Some crop circles are a mystery. This is a fact.
How crop circles are reported in the media is sometimes a disgrace and an insult to the intelligence of people. Take this article by the Smithsonian.
From the article:
Almost as soon as crop circles became public knowledge, they attracted a gaggle of self-appointed experts. An efflorescence of mystical and magical thinking, scientific and pseudo-scientific research, conspiracy theories and general pandemonium broke out.
Once again, the rational inquirers are lumped in with the far out believers, and the fact of a beautiful mystery is lost to the public.
The article then goes on to describe the new age beliefs that some people have, and talks about hoaxes in general. It never presents the evidence or even tries to refute it. It never looks at the geometry, which doesn't lie. It's all just dismissed entirely as 'pseudo-scientific research.' It's hypocritical. I would love to have the mystery solved. That would lead to deeper understanding, but every single article I find dismissing all crop circles as "hoax" fails to refute anything. Then they ridicule anyone who still thinks the universe is a mystery.
A large proportion of the population believes in ghosts, angels, UFOs and ET visitations, fairies, psychokinesis and other strange phenomena. These beliefs elude scientific examination and proof.
A true scientist knows that no evidence of 'strange phenomena' is not the same as evidence of no 'strange phenomena.' Unexplainable things happen. This is a fact. Explaining the experiences as UFO, psychic, hallucination or any other label is the belief. It is neither true, nor necessarily untrue.
Knowledge of the universe is like the beam of a flashlight in a forest at midnight. There is much more that we don't know than what we know.
Please don't follow me in person, but on Steemit it's ok.
Edit: Pics from Bert Jannsen weren't properly linked. They are now.
All images link to source. Drawings are mine and link to my deviantart profile. I posted my Steemit logo drawing as proof the account is mine.

I feel like I've seen some of these, eyes closed, in meditative states...
I know the feeling.
I feel deeply intrigued by these designs and patterns and would like to imagine that they are born of a higher intelligence, though I have to remain hesitantly on the fence as to their origin - regardless, they represent a sublime art and manifestation of the sacred through geometry and that's enough for me. Thanks for the share ;)
That's exactly how I feel. I could have saved a lot of time and just wrote what you wrote. lol. Thanks for reading.
Again, an extremely well-balanced article. Re-steemed. It stands out to me that good information is released through the Daily Mail. A few times recently I have noticed the Daily Mail, as part of the narrative: wasn't some climate-data-query recently first publicised there? Interesting, since this is a newspaper, a tabloid, that I have been brought up to scorn. Not another cunning plan, Baldrick!
Thanks richardjuckes! That's probably the first article I've ever read on the Daily Mail, so I don't know about the climate-data-query. Sometimes, good information leaks through the cracks.
I'm not exactly sure this is the correct term, but I think it is more a subtle kind of blackwashing.
Yes, I think that's the right term.
I had always thought they were just an American phenomenon. Thanks for educating me. I would like to know more about them.
You're welcome. I'll try and find a good youtube docu. There are some bad ones.
Skypal,
Don't get on steemit often, but found your article from a search for sacred geometry. Crop circles and sacred geometry have been topics of intrigue for some time and I found your article well written and the links are informative.
Thanks for sharing and I will check in more often for more insights/thoughts.

Hi Lynda, recently I haven't been on Steemit either. Thanks for the comment. Been thinking about starting up again. Stay tuned for more sacred geometry stuff.
Just found your good article here. I thought I was the first one to publish one a while ago. I can't say more than you. Only that today I was the first time in my life actually in a circle:

I am jealous. Never been to a circle.
Never too late if you don't live too far away.
Brilliant post, I love how we are given these crop circles from who ever .. and we appreciate the geometry code within either way. Remember those crop circles are 3 dimensional , it's hard to get your head around to seeing it that way sometimes but it is :)
Thanks. There is something mysteriously attractive about the geometry.
