Trust! How I wish I did not have to trust nobody. What would it have been like. I'll like to take an imaginary dimension here. If I did not have to trust nobody, maybe then there would not be betrayal. So its probably like everyone has the same standard. No better no worse, just being. With this there is no pain, no struggle, no mistrust. Then we would not have to worry and watch our backs always. What is more painful is conceeding an attack at your defensive mood. That is like your best is not good enough.
Trust in my opinion is associated with pain. They are two seemingly parallel but criss-crossed paths. When you allow yourself to trust, you feel the pain for the trust. You feel the pain for playing yourself. You feel deep hurt for allowing yourself fall in that state of mind. Trust comes with alot of responsibilities on ones part and the other. Can I trust and leave it all to trust or back my trust with worries. Now that's twisted. How can I trust and still be worried. Trust is supposed to keep me at peace. Hold on a bit! I better describe trust at this point.
Trust is confidence in the honesty or integrity of a person or thing. An example of trust is the belief that someone is being truthful. An example of trust is the hope a parent has when they let their teenager borrow a car. link
Trust is also ignoring pointing signs instead of snooping around on individuals privacy in anticipation of a distrust. It may be due to external forces and at the same time it could be internal influences. Either ways, the decision that comes after distrust goes a long way in actually telling the outcome of the realization. Would there ever be trust in doubt? Or is it more like a tricky trap? Can we as individuals trust for real without an iota of distrust. Can we appear clean in all ways? Can trust be built after a distrusting event or occurence.
In a case of a parent who gives their car out to their teenager based on trust. The trust existed because they may not have had any distrusting situation. After a distrusting situation, the trust diminishes and in some cases it never returns to what it used to be. Talking about getting back to what it used to be. It takes an extra love, attention and willingness to restore the lost trust. Trust comes naturally, if there has not been a sham or disappointment then there may not be distrust. Trust diminishes for a reason. It just does not always work as usual from a certain point of distrust.
Trust can hurt, it can serve a make or mar function but it is relative on the manner of trust. It is great to trust, but it could be killing to trust wrongly/blindly. Be sure who you trust so as to avoid the great hurt that comes as the sacrifice for that trust. In some cases trust is the only thing needed to push further considering the inability of humans to exist more than a unit in a place at a particular time. Trust carefully, do not be in a twisted situation where you blame yourself for trusting.
Trusting as an individual may not be outrightly wrong or right but with the suitable filter it all goes well. Be wise Steemians. Be good too.
