What is your car trouble?
I want to give back to Steemit community and provide some help on something that I know very well. Cars and how to fix them.
Please ask me about your car issue. Won't go into gear. Strange sounds. Don't know if you should take your car in to the shop. Just ask.
Send me the make, model, and year along with car symptoms.
Please remember to VOTE and ReSteem

Hello budy @socky, the car is a mercedes-benz 4matic 350. The car won't change gear so there is no way to reverse out of the drive way. Any suggestions on that?
There is no easy fix here. There may be an internal seal leaking that is causing hydraulic pressure loss which doesn't allow the reverse to engage. There could be a bad reverse solenoid. Your best bet is take it to a transmission shop to have them check the pump pressure and to diagnose what is and is-not happening inside your transmission when it should be going to reverse.
My car dealer said that it is OK for the engine to use 89 gas as opposed to 93. Is it also financially (mileage) wise ok?
Cars that aren't supercharged or turbocharged can typically handle lower octane gas. The computer can adjust timing to deal with any pre-ignition issue. Higher octane fuel doesn't mean higher fuel mileage. The high octane fuels are designed to not ignite until higher pressure and temperature. These conditions are typically found in high performance engines. This is why they need high octane fuel. For a normal vehicle, you will not see better mileage when using high octane fuel. In some cases when alcohol blend is used to raise the octane rating of the fuel, the alcohol has very little energy stored it it and will reduce the mileage.
Thanks. Your answer was very clear and I learned something!
nice

Very nice post @socky. Will get back to you if any problem occurs with my car !!
So we have a steemit mechanic here. My problem is that I want to fix the driving seat of my car in my dream car. Let me know what steps should I follow to accomplish this :p
Us mechanics have a joke of how to fix a car. Just replace the nut behind the wheel.
I would love to help, but first, please explain what is wrong with the seat.
