Steemit has really changed my life. As I wrote a thousand times in my last posts, I had no social media accounts before Steemit. I deleted them all when I was at a young age and had literally no idea what will happen in the future. Living without having a Facebook or Instagram account was quite normal for me. Of course I met some people who were confused when I said I didn´t join the platform when every other girl at my age already did but that was okay since I was focusing on other things during this time. Surely I wasn´t used to meet people who knew me or read stories about my life. How could they if I wasn´t publishing anything right? When I joined Steemit in August 2016, my life has changed immediately. It sounds weird because I am not famous, I don´t have a million followers neither there are brands who want me as an ambassador but people started to recognize me throughout meetings, I got requests to be a speaker for crypto currency at many events, people asked for interviews and so on. This is so crazy because they named me soldier and sometimes I don´t even know who they are...
All of us are very busy at the moment but @sirwinchester and I got invited for an interview with Germany´s biggest Cryptocurrency Youtube reporter. He is also registered here on Steemit -> @grossefreiheittv
We decided to meet in Hamburg near our office and started recording. This video is sadly only in german but if there is any translator who wants to translate the video, you are very welcomed. @Grossefreiheittv was asking general questions about Steemit. What is Steemit? How did we start? Since when are we a part of this social media and all those perfectly asked questions for people who have no idea what this platform is all about. I am sure it´s still interesting to watch because actually you don´t see us talking that much in videos...

Hallo! Habe das Video vor 2-3 Wochen auf youtube gesehen und es war glaub ich so ziemlich das erste, wodurch ich auf steemit aufmerksam wurde. Ging sicher einigen anderen auch so, es gibt nämlich sonst nicht allzu viel im deutschen Sprachraum über Steemit auf youtube... Alleine deswegen schon eine gute Sache!
Ohh wie cool, dass du wegen des Videos auf diese Plattform gestoßen bist! Herzlich willkommen bei Steemit! Ich poste nur auf Englisch doch du hast den hashtag #deutsch bestimmt schon entdeckt... Die deutsche Community ist hier größer als man denkt. Auch im Steemit.chat wirst du unter dem #deutsch viele neue user treffen
das war für mich auch eine Überraschung, nachdem ich ca. 100 Artikel in englisch geschrieben hatte, bin ich auf den deutschen Chat gestoßen und hab spontan einen deutschen Artikel geschrieben der gut aufgenommen wurde. Selbst jemanden hier getroffen, der ab und zu in meiner Heimatstadt Zwickau unterwegs ist, coole Sache! Zuletzt hatte ich auf Alexa gesehen, dass wir Deutschen ca. 4% Anteil hatten, aktuell hat sich das evtl. schon wieder verschoben. Seit ich vor 3 Monaten hierher gekommen bin ist die Anzahl der Accounts bereits wieder um 50% gestiegen!
Schon unglaublich wie groß die deutsche community hier eigentlich ist :-)
Ja ich weiß, dass du auf englisch postest, habe schon einiges gelesen :) Bei der deutschen community bin ich gespannt wie groß die hier wird, ist immer einer schöner Maßstab um zu sehen wie groß das gesamte Netwerk ist...
Du würdest auf deutsch sicher auch gut "performen", ist halt immer die Frage ob sich das dann lohnt alles doppelt zu machen, wahrscheinlich eher nicht... Also vom Aufwand/Nutzen Verhältniss.
Ja genau, die meisten meiner Follower kommen aus der ganzen welt und englisch ist somit die “vereinte” sprache. Ich möchte, dass jeder meine Posts lesen kann daher wird es eher nur englisch bleiben. Ich antworte aber gerne auf deutsch :-)

Excellent video and as you said that steemit changed your life it is 100% correct. Before steemit I'm giving full time to fb but fb is replaced by steemit. Thanx for sharing....
True! It should replace Facebook and other social media for sure. The biggest reason why I am staying on this platform is the community! You guys support me on a high level which is unbelievable !!!
Steemit is definitely the future for long texts and stories as a collection of blogs...

Deleting your other social media accounts was probably a wise move. Steemit has a much better community and overall experience.
