5 REASONS WHY MEN LIE

It is normal for everyone to lie but the bone of contention is if men lie more than women. Well, that's not the issue of today. Below are some reasons why men lie:

  1. If a man thinks he hasn’t done enough in his life that might make an impression on a woman, he will mostly, concoct a fib. This could be about his job, his social life, the number of women he has been with, or the bar fights he has gotten into, or the number of places he has travelled to, among other things. Anything that gets the girl talking about him to her girlfriends.

  2. If a man thinks not speaking his mind is going to protect her from getting hurt, he will make sure he doesn’t. When a man loves a woman, he does become sensitive to her feelings. And he will do everything in his power to not say hurtful things. For example, if she says, “Babe, I am so fat. I don’t like my body”, your reply should be “What nonsense? You are perfect the way you are.”

  3. Most men have huge egos, and if a little lie gives them an ego massage, they will do it. For example, if she asks, “Hon, who was the girl you said sent you a friend request on Facebook?” he might end up saying, “I don’t remember. I get so many of these silly requests; it’s hard to keep track of them.

  4. Most men think that women say one thing and do another, and hence there is a lack of trust. Women mostly want to know about their past relationships and when men reveal their past, they get mad. So the best thing to do here, according to men, seems like not saying anything at all. We all lie to get our way at times. There is no harm in a few white lies. We just need to be careful when to lie and when to speak the truth. Lie only when you’re sure no one will be hurt because of it.

  5. If a man thinks that with a lie he will be able to avoid confrontation, he will do it. He doesn’t want to get into a yelling match with his girl. If a lie spares him the horror, then why not?
