My issue with Breitbart, at least in this article's case, is that their starting point is not the fact - research boats got stuck in unprecedented ice. Their starting point is pure, unadulterated judgement. "Ship of Fools", warming vs ice.
Consider the way BBC reports on the story:
It asks a question and delivers a theory. It doesn't start with judgement and deliver a story.
And within the report, the increased ice flow is most likely related to an earlier glacial breakup:
He told the Sydney Morning Herald: "Since the Mertz Glacier was punched out by the B09B (glacier) some years ago, it has changed the whole dynamics in the area".
And I'll return the question - why do you not trust the US military, the coral reefs that are bleaching, or the plants that are thriving in higher longititudes? No human at all involved in the later two...

Lying and misguiding are two separate things. The fact was the fact - a research boat got stuck. That fact makes no conclusions about global warming unlike the narrative created by Breitbart.
