Isn't it amazing when commodity/wealth is perishable, sharing and giving become rational behaviors because even humanoids that have some capacity for thinking can readily deduce the futility of hoarding or consuming beyond their limits? Only in abstract conceptualization of money as imperishable, or humanity's present extended forever into eternity, do we observe the insanity of hoarding and ledgerizing all of creation. Even then, human greed is infinite in the abstract, and an entire universe converted into abstract wealth would not be enough to satiate the hunger born from the abyss of human greed. Death and limits of reality are blessings for empty vessels, such as the humanoid muck.

Sort:

Folks trained to salivate at the sight of money will do as they're taught. 'Raise up a child in the way you would have them go, and when they are old they will be accustomed to it.' or something along those lines.

However, when we're immortal, we'll have to adapt to such circumstances by becoming accustomed to that new reality, and responsible for our every thought and act. In time, we will learn what actually matters, and how to effect it. I am sure it will take a long time, but a long time is what immortals have.

Someone did show up with a ladder and pick most of these. I hope only that they made good use of it, where I could not.
