RE: What happens when you drink a gallon of water every day?

in #life9 years ago

I'm drinking close to that, 3 liters, not 3.8, and I balance my electrolytes with 500ml coconut water a day and 1/8 tsp salt in 2 of those liters with just a little flavoring added. Do you think the sugar substitues dehydrate as much as table sugar? So far, it's helped me regulate my body temperature better and I'm finally sweating a little.

I'm not sure about the sugar substitutes. But I know many of them can be bad for you, So you should try to eat the stuff more natural. Your 3 liters is really good for you! I love coconut water! I've been trying to get more of that in my diet so I can feel better. Nice job with your good habits :)

to put it simply... sugar substitutes are poison. Our bodies get all the sugar we need from natural foods.. we don't need to add any sugar.

We don't need to, but it does help the taste. I need to drink my salty water, but it tastes kinda weird. Sugar, and very limited amount, makes it taste like gatorade with much less the calories, since gatorade is trying way too hard to mask its taste. And depending on where you are and your dietary restrictions, someone may not get all they need naturally. Depends on what's available to the person. The inner city is very sparse when it comes to fruit, and so people have to get their fruit nutrients elsewhere there.
