It's always a bit harder to start writing when you haven't written for a long long while. Last posts from me on here were of @hivefest - 2022, not even of this year's one in 2023!
When the announcements of the Mexico Edition of @hivefest were announced I already knew I would miss out on something fantastic - the (South/North) American community had been waiting for a while to have a true Fest on 'their side of the globe' and I was happy to know it was going to happen. At the same time I was preparing for a huge exam and had family holidays planned exactly on the date HiveFest started, so I had to miss out!
Sad.
Then the deadline of the test came closer. @gtg sent me a message about a meet-up in Kraków for those that were having FOMO for not begin in Mexico at HiveFest. And then I managed to 100% ignore him! Sorry Gandalf! I would have loved to drink a beer or two in Kraków.
I also missed out on several @coldbeetrootsoup and @detlev meet-ups, and was happy and sad (I wanted to have joined!) to see a meet-up happening between @bil.prag and @fotostef and @traisto - I managed to mostly ignore those posts too even though my name was mentioned here or there.
Damn. Have I Been that busy?
I guess so, at least in my mind. But yeah, no, it was really that busy.
This pas year was a snowball of emotions and work. My study that I had started in 2020 got several accreditations added to them in 2022 which meant in hindsight all students had to make up for 'extra work' as these extra credits hadn't been a part of the study before all those accreditations were applied. So in 1 year I had to do 3 years worth of 'missed work' which meant about 500 hours of extra (!) work next to the normal study load.
It basically meant all of 2023 has been full focus on ploughing through all that extra work.
But - it also means the Diploma I will get is an extra cool and valuable one.
So where am I in my study journey? I have now started the fourth year. When I started in 2020 there were only 3 years, haha. So this is next to the extra work also an extra year. But it will protect me from all kinds of extra regulations that are being put up for people calling themselves a 'therapist', I will be future-proof after this year.
I've also started a short traineeship with a therapist who will be able to provide me with my first clients in a few months after I've learned all the tricks of the profession.
It's an exciting time, but still busy. Still, I wanted to leave a mark on Hive. And say hi. I appreciate you all. Some have been reaching out through other means, which I love.
It means that even though I'm not active on the blockchain I'm still part of the community and your hearts.
Thanks a lot for that <3
Let me know what has been up with you!
Hi!
We are missing you! You'll always be part of the community and definitely in our hearts! So much have happened, too much to fit in a comment. Hopefully we'll have the chance to meet and talk about it in person!
Kisses from @traisto and myself :)
Hey! Yes, I'm missing you too! My hairdresser is from Greece and he keeps reminding me how much I need to go there, haha! :D Big hugs to you and @traisto <3
Loooots of love!!!
Huuuuugs to you!

Wow, long time! Welcome back!
Extremely long time! Bad Hiveian :D Thanks! Hope you're well :-)
I am good. Do you remember me :)
Yes I do :D
Great 😄
Welcome back! and happy Hive birthday!
Thanks! Ha! I see now that yesterday was indeed my Hive Birthday. Maybe this time of year pulls me to writing :-)
Nice to hear from you, @soyrosa! I've been checking your profile a few times to see what I miss but you didn't post. Glad to know you are fine and keep on moving to your goal.
So you are going to be a doctor? 👩⚕
Hey @zirochka! I so hope you're well! Hope to be reading some posts soon. I'm not going to be a doctor but will be a therapist in the field of psychoneuroimmunology, which deals with treating patients with more chronic conditions that don't get the right answers from other doctors :-)
WOW, sounds really cool. And seems I can be your client 😆
But seriously speaking, I believe this area is very promising
I believe so too @zirochka - I have been a patient myself (yes, HAVE BEEN!) and since this therapy gave me all my answers I needed to know everything about it. I will never have a shortage of patients I guess, so many people have 'something', in smaller or bigger amounts. Hope you'll find your answers or message privately me if you want for some directions :-)
Thank you, dear.😘
I wish you good luck with all your tests and hopefully see you at the next HiveFest.
!LUV
Ohhh I'm so hoping we can both be at the next HiveFest! I have good hopes :-) Hugs!
Hey you, you are still alive!
Hey you, yes I am! You are too, happy day \0/

Welcome back! Sounds like a really hectic year, cramming 500 extra hours of study in, on top of your normal load. That's so crazy!!
Have a great Christmas!
Yes, that was extremely crazy and the first half of the year I really didn't enjoy it! But I got in a flow in the end but now happy that crazy year has finished :-)
Thanks, have a lovely Christmas yourself @livinguktaiwan!
'Bout in time for Xmas 🤣
I thought you'd been abducted by interplanetary pirates or something. Turns out you are sound and fine, thank God.
Yeah, well they sent me back in the end @mrprofessor! :') Have a lovely Xmas!!!
A super sexy xmas!
Let's meetup 🥳
\0/
Hey @soyrosa the last #HiveMeetupAachen was great and we MISSED YOU ;-)
Just kidding. But you are always welcome
We have the idea to grow that meetup to more people.
This said, we plan more in the next few month.
Hey @detlev - definitely miss meeting up and such! Will be traveling in Feb/March but after that I'll be available again :D
It's been so long? Welcome back, @soyrosa . Greetings.
It has been so long indeed @aurodivys! :D
It is great to see you back.
Congrats on the hard work to get your diploma and hope to see you in person at one of the Hive events next year!
Yes @santigs - let me know if you visit a specific Hive Event so I can try to join! :D Or are you waiting for HiveFest?
I plan to go at least to one event this next year, It would be great to join HiveFest for the first time if the dates fit my schedule. Otherwise will try to join any other one. Are dates and venue for HiveFest24 already set?
Hey @santigs, no, no locations for HiveFest have been announced, but I recently learned from @tibfox about @buzzparty which is in April (not sure yet if I can make it but will try) in Hamburg, so who knows :D
Thank you. Will have to check dates, there are several web3 events in Barcelona in April. One of them is chain agnostic, maybe we could present Hive
https://web3fc.xyz/
That would be great! If there's ever a Hive Meet in Barcelona I'd gladly join :-)
There used to be one but the girl leading it left Hive and we have not met again.
So I wasn't ignored, you are just slow :-P
Yes, very very very slow, about 3 months behind on replying to messages :P
Yay, I was just thinking about you. I started school and have posted much less. I am happy to hear that your degree is going to be extra cool, with all that work! Happy Holidays and it really was so great to have an update.
Hey @sjarvie5 - love to know you're thinking about me from time to time! Do you still enjoy your job at the school? :-))) I probably missed several very good posts from you in the past few months, hope you're doing well!
Yes, I am still enjoying academic advising. This semester was a cool one- I started advising online students for the first time and I became an online student too. I am studying art history which has been really great. Going back to school after so much time has been quite the adjustment, mostly the papers! The learning is so great!
Ahhh, I was wondering if 'started school' meant going back to your job or studying yoursel! Whoa! Cool and good for you! That's such a fitting subject for you study in-depth, love that you are doing that for yourself!
Those papers are just extended Hive Posts, right? :P
Yes, they are going to be come Hive posts!
I remember sitting at the closing dinner in Amsterdam with a girl who said that she would continue (because she had taken a break) with content creation, hanging out with other Hvians... 😜
So, this is your LAST year, and after that, you will run out of excuses to not be on HIVE? 😃
Just kidding... Good luck with your studies... After this many years on HIVE, we will need a good therapist! 😃
Hahahaha - yes, well, end of 2024 should be when I REALLY have no excuses left @ph1102 :') I still remember that convo too and it's absolutely terrifying to me that 15 months (and another HiveFest) went by like a blink of an eye.
I'll make sure to have a special Hive Offer on my website soon! :')))
So glad to see you back! I've been posting less frequently lately too but never can seem to stay away for long. 2023 has been an absolute roller coaster ride for us with exhilarating highlights and deep troubles but we're hoping for more of the exhilarating highlights in 2024! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I missed so much of your content Eric! Rollercoaster years seem to be part of life, have had a few of them myself, I always like to think they get a follow-up by a quiet few years <3 Or indeed as you say one with loads of highlights!
Merry Christmas to you too! <3
Thank you! I hope I can post a little more regularly in 2024 and may even (finally) add a video component to my travel posts.
That would be great! I'm going to Vietnam in 6 weeks, hoping to post some travel posts when I get back (not planning on being online much over there, but will ofcourse make pics and such :-))
it must be fun when they add a year and extra stuff to all 3 years of study :D
if it is the same like in our country (judging by what my sister tells me) it is kinda a never ending learning and licensing :)
Yes we did mention you and at least we now know you seen the mentions :D
Hahaha, yes, I saw the mentions, and even opened a few blogs, but I just never got around to give them the attention they deserved. Very sad about that. Glad I was thought of though, I was still a little present in all your moments, must have been so nice! <3
it was an unexpected meetup that was really fun. looks like most of the Hive meetups end like that :)
i think you were traveling at that time, we were joking you could end up there :D you probably should one day, it is a great place :)
I'm so happy to hear it was lots of fun :D Yes, Hive meet-ups are basically always special. Oh my, wouldn't it have been fun if I had somehow ended up there while traveling :'))) Greece is high on my list of travel wishes <3
it was pretty random for me too. 5 hours from the place i was staying. You can't go wrong with Greece if you like nice salt water and really old stuff. and forts and castles, they are everywhere.
And it never rains in Nafplio :)
Ho Ho Ho! @soyrosa, one of your Hive friends wishes you a Merry Christmas and asked us to give you a new badge!
The HiveBuzz team wish you a Merry Christmas!

Hey there @soyrosa, good to see you posting and get an update. Sounds like you were doing what needed to be done.
Wishing you a happy holiday season xxxx
Hey @trucklife-family, yes, have been doing exactly that! :D Thanks a lot for your message, hope you're doing super well and have a great start of 2024 in a bit! <3
Euj nice to have the accreditation going there!
Sucky for the long and extra hours but indeed..this will make the future Roos-proof and one heck of a successfull therapist out of you.
Cool to see you are working the grind. Gelukkig nieuwjaar en wellicht dat we ons in 2024 weer een keertje gaan zien ;)
Namaste 🙏 @soyrosa
Same thoughts going through my head...
It was going to be amazing if I could come and visit the Mexican event as well, it was looking a quite an expensive trip no matter that I was looking nearly 3 months early to plan if possible...
Yet again it was quite a beautiful experience to meet the Hive family in reality back in Amsterdam 2022....
Namaste
🙏
Hi @soyrosa,
I totally missed this post from you after such a long time of silence.
It looks like a lot is happening in your RL which sounds very good. And it's nice to read that you are still here even if it's a bit more passively.
If you look at my blog you can see that I even have difficulties in keeping my contest running once a week. Sometimes I miss a week because RL is busy here too. I would love to write more about all the things happening. There would also be a lot to write about @dog-marley. He is 11.5 years old already but still quite active. Not as active as some years ago but still a lot is happening which would be nice to remember in the blockchain.
Well, that's not happening as long as RL keeps busy as it is but with the contest, I'm still building up for the future where we all have more time hopefully :)
I hope everything comes out well for you and thanks for your continuous support!
Br.,
Pundito
Ha Rosa, ik ben ook lange tijd weggeweest. Goed te zien dat je er ook weer bent. Bij mij net zo hoor, ook etg druk geweest met werk, andere prioriteiten etc. Maar goed, we zijn er weer :)
Hi @soyrosa. Just wanted to reach out and say hi. Hope all is well.
