Beer Garden // Raleigh, NC

On my trip here in Raleigh, I had to stop at an iconic bar known as Beer Garden. Now, I'm all for hitting bars on my adventures. However, this bar is something special. Beer Garden currently holds the world record of draft selection beer.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a large tree and notice the bar has a very "tavern" feel to it. It's a well controlled climate which was a great relief after stepping inside from some 97 degree weather!

There is plenty of seating. The entire first floor is almost like a lounge area and they have a specific wall of draft beer that is mainly brewed locally. As you go upstairs, you'll notice the more traditional bar feel with an additional wall of draft beer that is more common. After you have a seat, your waiter will kindly let you know that they do not offer menus as their selection is so large and constantly changing. In addition to the two floors they also have a rooftop lounge as well as a very large patio space full of seating as well. The rooftop was closed but it became quickly evident that the place has no lack of space for seating at all. With a selection of over 300+ draft beers I can imagine this place will be iconic for Raleigh in the years to come. If you're in the area, definitely check it out. And hey, you can even rent a scooter to get you there!
