It's Sad

It's sad how most people will probably write a story without looking at other posts and just wait until they have a payout or repeat the cycle again without ever (maybe occasionally) upvoting someone else who also tried their best to make a story too.

I try so hard but never succeed. Oh well, it's common sense that life can be unforgiving and unfair.

I've noticed that people who have more influence are always more successful than those who are not as influential but can pretty much do well at posting in the same field

Don't worry about those folks. Do your thing, stand by your thing. If they don't like your thing, you've just found out they weren't influential after all. You'll never impress everyone.

Thanks for telling me. Appreciate the help.

In life, you have the advantage if you are skilled and/or talented. I have none : ( .

Honesty is a talent.

If that was a compliment, I thank you very much, I rarely get people that get me to feel happy.

When you're honest, you always win by default. Yes, it was a compliment. I see you're having a hard time. I wouldn't take it personally, though I know it's sometimes hard not to.

There are a lot of people here who like to dictate how to present yourself here. Control freaks. You don't need to live up to their standards. They are sabotaging this platform and making it hard for the new ones to become successful. Just find your own path. Eventually someone will follow it. Don't expect it. If you stay on course, you'll find you've attracted a very genuine following. Just be yourself, that is your talent. Build on it day by day. I think you'll do fine.

Unfortunately, people also take advantage over one's honesty.
