Being sickly is another kill joy . A little dust can trigger your asthma. You're not supposed to overwork otherwise you'll end up gasping for breath or something bad will happen to you. This is still another physical deformity.
But most of the standards of beauty, are just cultural in orientation. In our own country, we are experiencing inferiority complex about our hair, our skin color, our height, especially the shape of our nose because we base our standard on the beautiful faces of spanish or american women in the tele nobela or movies we are watching.
They have beautiful noses, blonde hair, fair complexion. So, what do people do? They bleach or put some solution to peel off their skin so it would turn out fair. You put some hydrogen peroxide on your hair to make it blonde . Some people are saving money for a surgery in their different parts of the body . We oppress ourselves because of the standards of beauty dictated by the powerful.
Look around. Did God create ugly things - people? Why is it sometimes you seem to look ugly? Because we measure ourselves with the standards of media and advertising. But when you look at these things, does God really create ugly people? I don't think so! But we judge ourselves against standards that oppress us. So that it becomes " thorn in the flesh" even the way we look.

This saddens me...but is so true. I wish that we all could just genuinely love everybody according to who they are NOT what they look like. Who authorized anybody to be so superior and judgemental. ..including all of us who follow it ...everytime we make a change to our body ..hair etc..we agreed that they must be right..smh...it needs to stop ..thanks for sharing :) :) Kayleigh

Always :) :)
The asthma is something that holds me back. Nothing I can do except focus and keep very calm when I am active. I surf and skateboard with asthma. Years of technique and remaining relaxed, as if im almost sleeping, is the only way I learned to live with asthma.
Everything in this world is beautiful.the real beauty lies in character..you are doing great job my friend..
