RE: Time is Fleeting, But Life Awaits…Live Intensely For You to Compete Against Time And Be The Winner....

I'd feel better if I saw $400 being distributed across the Steemians putting out good content instead of all on you. This is not what Ned had in mind...

Let your 12000 followers determine the value.

I agree. Many of us have seen our payouts decrease over time, as the STEEM value has declined. That's normal and to be expected during hard times. @chbartist is now pulling far more STEEM out of the reward pool today to maintain his illegitimate $500 post values than he was when the value was higher. If it was considered abuse before, in the past, he has now doubled if not tripled what was considered to be abusive behavior in the past. There's no need to pull that much out of the reward pool and away from everyone else he's claiming to be a supporter of. Unfortunately, I think a lot of these people don't realize he's purchasing these top slots. He's not here because of actual popularity, that part is all smoke and mirrors. It's been misleading since day one when he started doing this. I no longer know what to say though. I've tried to speak to him peacefully in the past and I was shot down and shunned from this space. This will probably be the last time I ever say anything here.

I've flagged him for a few cents. Will he even notice?

He spent a few grand on STEEM, and his actions here displacing that much STEEM (literally 1000's per post) with bots for these posts puts selling pressure on the token. He might not notice the few cents, but at this rate, it won't take long for him to notice the thousands of dollars he'll lose by being one of the main contributors to this mess. Potentially thousands of STEEM could be sold within one week, every week, because of his actions alone. It's almost like this is being done purposefully.

This is exactly what I feel @steevc. Tricking new users into easy gains and talking about efforts while spending 500 Steem on bidbots and not making it clear. Not really a nice way of contributing to a community to me, or, at very least, a subtle way.
Hope you'll consider stating that you are spending a lot promoting posts, instead of giving out illusions to newcomers @chbartist.

Some people seem to get into this habit and can't give it up. Is it fear of losing the 'fame'? Rewards and reputation should be earned and not bought.

I mean, I don't see anything bad in using bot to "promote" stuff, yet I hate deceiving behaviour and pretend this is an organic growth or something achievable over time. Fame must be involved indeed @steevc.
