RE: Virtual Home Assistants - Are Google Home and Amazon Echo the Future?

I'm tempted to get the Amazon Dot to play with this and to see if I can integrate it with the #homeautomation system I'm building (see my posts). But then I'm more into the Google infrastructure, so I wonder if their device would suit me better. I'll be reading up on them both
