I played Alley Cat on a PC! I remember it being good fun. You have to admire the skills of those who cracked games. It's one of those arms races between the two sides. I expect some of them did find ways to put their skills to more productive use.

If it was on the PC surely it was CGA graphics? The 8 bit stuff was bad looking back but CGA with horrific!

I believe it was CGA, but the gameplay was still good. Who needs more than 4 colours?

Lol, we all wanted 16 colours then, that was acceptable. I couldn’t bring myself to play anything less than EGA.

I suspect the PC I was using had better graphics, but I was limited in what I could get hold of then. It would have been a work computer
