II would like to say that having 1500 follower have changed my exposure on the platform, but what I have realized that even thought this many people are following my, it doesn't change anything at all.
When I was at about 450 followers I had read a great post about the same subject written by @therneau : "I'm on over 500 followers! What does that mean? Jack Sh!t." At the time, I could relate to what he was trying to say about having a following that never really seems to read your material. As I hit 1500 followers I can completely relate. What is the reason people are even following each other?
I am not saying that every bit of writing that I put out should be up voted. I am simply saying that in some cases most of my writings are not even being seen by ANYONE! This is very aggravating being that some of the work was hours in the making and research.
I even got desperate for my material to reach people that I posted on "The Deadpost Initiative" by @whatamidoing. I posted a received absolutely no views. At times it seams as though I am just writing on paper and throwing it away. I feel as though I am the only person on this site. As though I am the only human and everyone else are just bots.
I have read many posts about how to make it on steemit, most of them say that good content is essential. I cannot say that all my writing is a great work of art, but if no one even sees it, what does it matter what kind of material I put up. I will be putting up a post soon that will prove this point.
I have also stated to think about the use of bots. But in what way will this allow people to read my work? Although people make great money on steemit, it is important to me that people see my work. I know that sounds really egotistical, but if I put the work in, i would like to see it appreciated in some form, even if that form is some one just reads it.
I would like to thank the one or two people that will ever even see this post, let alone even read it. Keep on steemin!
