* The Storm *
it screams.
The fox and the vulture join in the laughter.
A Catastrophic Cacophony,
melodious melancholy
echoes over the dunes..
A Tune,
familiar and distant,
a hum buzzes,
crackles..
A flash of light
snaps at a nearby mound
and all around
the ground grumbles
as thunder rumbles
through ominous clouds
rolling in
up ahead..
The Sun flees,
his day is done.
The Sky grows dark
with sorrow.
It will have to wait
'til tomorrow
to be bathed
in his majestic,
golden
light
again..
For now,
Darkness reigns
and rains,
black drops pelt the Earth,
painting the gravel
which unravels,
releasing hisses of steam.
Soon, a heavy stream
showers down
from above.
A smorgasbord
of light and sound
An ecstasy of electricity
erupts from the heavens..
This is the devil's playground.
The Witching Hour has come
and all hell breaks loose..

Love it. I'm suprised you spelt 'steam' right, as these days I always spell it 'steem'. But then, I always put little asterisks on either sides of words I want to make italic in WORD, ffs.
My favourite electricity line is Bob Dylans:
'the ghosts of electricity howl in the bones of her face'
LOVE Bob Dylan, what a great quote. Thanks for sharing! :)
