About a day and one,
When I have served as a feast to the sun,
When the feet can’t walk or run,
When it seems all is wrong.
I stood and sat,
Beside the street to ask,
Just myself and I,
What, how and why?
Right from the time I came,
From mother’s bosom to go,
Into the outside world to stake,
My name and have my own show.
To begin, we are told,
That hard work is all it takes,
To excel and make a name,
And enjoy as we get old.
Of how a virtue patience is,
Bringing lasting joy and bliss,
Enjoying satisfaction with ease,
How nothing else brings peace.
That what really pays is honesty,
Truthfulness, straightforwardness, sincerity.
Of how evil ends up to no good,
And eats up the soul as food.
