This brought tears to my eyes...yes I have also been there. I did not realize just how much my family struggled as a child because we always had the basics of what we need. As an adult with my own family, I have faced many days where I did not know what I was going to feed my family. I am happy to say that this is not my current reality, but on those days of hunger and uncertainty, it for sure makes you appreciate a fridge with food in it that much more..thank you for sharing this, I appreciate your honesty and sharing those moments that molded you into a thoughtful and caring human being.
