A few days ago, I visited “Ancient City” in Samutprakarn province, Thailand. There are many interesting things to see, but today, I would like to show you photos of “Rue-Si” first.
Do you know “Rue-Si”?
Rue-Si in Thai means “Yogi” in English. Rue-Si normally lives in the forest where is peaceful, like this place. ;D
“Rue-Si Dat Ton” is Yogi’s postures which are exercise from ancient Thai wisdom.
As far as I know, if we exercise like these postures regularly, we can relieve from pain or headache and these can help balance and relax our body and help the blood circulation. Besides, these can help us be more concentrate and more energetic as well.
There are 80 postures of Yogi at Ancient City, but I only took photos of 26 postures for you…. If you would like to see all of them, you may have to visit the Ancient City by yourselves. ;))
I think I’ll follow these Yogi's postures so that I’ll have a healthy body soon…. ;D
Yeah! Let’s practice “Rue-Si Dat Ton”! 😉
p.s. The place where “Rue-Si Dat Ton” situated is surrounded by beautiful green trees….and fresh water in the pond! The atmosphere is really good for exercise; walking, jogging, bicycling, etc.
Will show you more photos of other wonderful things in Ancient City in my next posts! ;)
Looks like a pretty cool place to visit, I like the water in the background.
Thanks so much for your nice comment and stopping by! Yes, it's pretty cool place to visit indeed. I like the water, too. ;)
It does look very relaxing there in the park. And amazing all those statues to show the poses. I know that exercise is very good for you. I do stretches, but not like the true Yogi. But it makes me feel better and more 'loose' from exercise, etc. I enjoyed the visit to the park, and look forward to the rest of the Ancient City posts. Have a nice day today.
Thanks so much for your nice comment! Yes, it's very relaxing place indeed. Ah! I actually do stretches, too. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the visit to the park. This is highly recommended, if you travel to Thailand.

@tangmo sir...
I like to get out of Bangkok and get some fresh air on weekends. Many times I visit places like Samed Island in Rayong, Lan isalnd in Pattaya, Hua Hin or Khao Yai. I also like to find something fun to do on a day trip like going to a museum, and I have to say that I feel a little embarrassed that I just learned that the Ancient City is just under an hour by car from the center of Bangkok where you can spend a nice day out. (Actually, I heard of this place long time ago and misunderstood that it was a few hours away from home so I didn’t think of making my way there).
Ancient Siam aka Ancient City or also known as เมืองโบราณ (mueang boran) is a unique outdoor park museum features replica of the county’s significant historic architecture and monuments from various parts of Thailand in the magnificent park in the shape of the map of Thailand.
Ancient City is located close to the Crocodile Farm in Bangpoo, Samut Prakan province, about 33 km southeast of central Bangkok. The area in the Ancient City covers 600 rai (96 hectares or 240 acres, 1 rai = 1,600 sq.mtrs or 0.4 acres). It was constructed in 1963 under the patronage of Lek Viriyaphant (1914 – 2000) the man who was also responsible for the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya and the Erawan Museum in Samut Prakan. He had a passion on preserving the country’s cultural heritage, history and art, which I found fascinating....
