Good article. You speak many truths. I have been an employee and a manager. I know I like to be treated with respect. I in turn treat employees with respect. People then feel like they are part of something special. That makes them / us want to contribute more to the company. We work hard for the success of the company. I have had bad and good managers. I know how it makes me feel. Being a good manager takes practice and effort. It usually doesn't happen over night, but if people work on it they can become good to great managers.
