RE: Travel To Find Your True Desire #2

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Nice post and so true. My first overseas travel was to Okinawa Japan. I had never flown except briefly on a crop duster type plane. I left a small airport where we actually had to wait for the pilot to arrive and unlock. I had as my traveling companion an active 2 yr. old. That was the beginning of many travels and getting to know different cultures. Such a good experience and learning that people are just people the world over and , for the most part, share the desire to make a good life for their families just as we want. I am involved in a project now that I love and gives me purpose even at 80+ years old. I think purpose is a must for anyone to be truly happy. I remember reading how Madam Currie often would not take time to eat more than a piece of bread and tea because it would take too much time away from her projects. My project is surely not at that level of importance to the world but to me it is of supreme importance and keeps me going. Thanks for your interesting post.
