4 life lessons I learned from Batman

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Did a super hero movie marathon last weekend and I ended with Christopher Nolan Dark Knight. Avenger Infinity war is amazing, but Christopher Nolan Dark Knight makes me think deeper.

To me Batman is more than just a fictional comic character. I see some influential in our lives as real people and we can learn from it.

  1. Misfortune creates opportunities for personal growth.
When life is easy and we live in a comfort zone, we will never discover our potential. If Bruce Wayne's parents had not been murdered. I think Bruce Wayne will be a spoiled playboy. Sometimes I think we are just a glowing stick, we just need some people to break it so that we can shine.

  2. "It’s not who you are underneath, it’s what you do that defines you.”
We live in a realistic world and actions matter more than intentions. Sometimes I felt talking creates the illusion of productivity and create a conscience that we've done much or already finish it, but is not. So "Less talk more action"!

  3. Work hard and always improve yourself. There's no shortcut in life.
Bruce Wayne is a normal human, but he fought hard for his additional skill and knowledge. Hard works build character. We always value the things we work harder to get. When Things come easily to us, we undervalue it. We may be good at what we do, but we should always find ways to better our performance.

  4. Treasure your teammates
An old African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Batman never fights alone, he has a bunch of awesome teammates like Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Commissioner Gordon and more. We need great teammates to rely on and trust each other to achieve our goals and needs.
