This is one of the view of the land we bought that we plan to built a house on. It is 1.53 acres that we have to tow a riding lawn mower over to mow every 7 to 10 days.
Here is another view that shows big the property is
Part of the property is trees and lots of them. I am not 100% sure but there is some where between 1/4-1/2 of an acre of trees and there is a ton of undergrowth and invasive species that has to be cleared out.
We have started clearing the back part of the tree line, it did look like the picture above with the undergrowth before my husband tackled it with a chain saw and brush trimmers. If you look real close you can see a pink flag tie to the pole that is the back corner where our property ends, the woods behind us, is a neighbors but they back into the nature preserve.
I really am looking forward to starting our house build soon, can't wait to be living on this land. But I got to get more disciplined as I kept allowing myself to be distracted here on Steemit today and pushed off mowing the land and clearing more brush away another day. Steemit is very addicting.
So tomorrow I plan to get up and get my husband moving so we can load up the trailer him and my son built and go get this big lot mowed. I can't wait to have the house built it sucks have to load that up every so often to go over there to mow.
The first time we used it we didn't have the sides built yet but now we do.
Sweet a riding mower! I had to push mow an acre before and it wasn't fun! The trailer looks amazing with the new siding! Simple yet effective. Best of luck with your house build!
I am so cheap, we needed one when we bought the property a few months ago so I researched then used SYW reward points and a coupon to get $500 off on it. And OMG with my husbands schedule and my back issues we would get fined by the city if we didn't invest in one. But I can't wait to be on the land, it is a hassle to load it up so frequently. (It has been raining a lot lately in my area)
I followed ! :) My son and I do the same exact thing!!! I don't mind the mowing, but its the loading and unloading that is not so fun! I wrote a post about it here https://steemit.com/life/@old-guy-photos/what-does-my-weekend-look-like
gonna go check out your post now.
