I almost didn't write on the first. How could that possibly be? I did so much today that I'm quite happy with, it wouldn't be a loss if I missed it. Still, this is why we strive, and the promises we make to ourselves are the most important ones to keep.
So today I spoke with my memecoin community.
I hit a record store and spent $70.
I went to lunch with my girlfriend.
I repaid some of my credit card debt and paid rent.
So as far as weekends and Saturdays go, I felt fulfilled. But what did I decide to focus on for the month of February?
Books!
I am most likely surrounded by 100 or so books, with a quarter of them read. I will take to Goodreads to formally tally the counts but this is my estimate right now. I just have so many titles I have an interest in that the shelves fill up. That's why I think a formal process to substitute 5-hour gaming nights with at least one-hour reading days should be plenty helpful.
And so begins the journey to alphabetize, organize and read my books all month.
As for my other endeavors, they will continue. The project I plan to check off each day will be to read for at least an hour, organize my shelves alphabetically, and record the books I finish somewhere.
It'll be interesting, like organizing my thoughts stored within Obsidian, to review the books I own, how much progress I made within them, and finally order them in a way I can go the rest of the year reading and actually checking books off my list.
If you've any recommendations, tips or stories, please chime in.
