Blogging is a full time job for most people here on the Blockchain, while it is a side attraction to many too. I see myself in between this two categories; thanks to steemit i could still come here a couple of times per week and channel all my real life disappointment in work, business, relationships into writing whether professionally or not.
The steemit i was invited to come Blog and earn is not the same i find myself in. Still better than the conventional so called social media websites out there but the advert to come join steemit and earn was misleading. The expectations to get something was the fundamental error that had being put in the minds and brains of many who had come here with the hope of enjoying their stays here like they have on other social medias where the only rewards they get was views and comments.
THIS SHOULDN'T BE A BEGGING FOR UPVOTE COMMUNITY
If there was no promise to earn then it is a fair game, but in the situations whereby people who had joined would have to lobby and beg for likes/votes to earn is the disheartening thing about being here. Now as a newbie, all you have to do is beg for at least 4 to 5 months for people to come to your blog and like it before being seen by those high up there, that is if you get lucky at all.
One question now comes to mind, how do you now bring several of your friends to come on board when you even have little or nothing to show for it? Would they listen? Won't i become their enemies if they get no support from the platform.
In the real world, there is always disappointment and it now seems the same thing has crept through unto the Blockchain for the new comers and even some that had been here for years. Yes i have seen it and it is devastating have so much faith in something but it never worked for you.
A solution would be to change that Ad or Marketing strategy that you Blog and Earn, because the same set of people gets the same quantity of reward day in day out and more sadly is that this people got all their vested powers for free!
The early adopters of steem are the only once benefiting from the Platform, followed by those who could embrace crooked means to earn. Hundreds of people have engaged in false marketing just to get more upvotes but Steemit and some users are too gullible to face the reality that many of this Steemit marketing and promotional posts are false and are aimed to deceive users to upvote them. A more realistic way to find out is to check the influx of users every month and see if Steemit user-base is actually growing with all the Marketing and Promotions documented all over the World.
The Ad says blog and Earn, not Bring more users and Earn! The wise would take note of the desperate measure frustrated and disappointed users would take just to get their own slice of the rewards that was promised but never came!
Like everything in the real world even steemit is far from being perfect. The upvoting system is only perfect for fraudulent strategies but that should have been clear for everyone with a functioning brain cell left. So it is the challenge to overcome these failures and to implement your own strategies for success on steemit. One of it is persistence.
You are very right sir, thanks for your wonderful input and i think self sustenance is the key on Steemit now.
