LEADERSHIP Part 1: How to be successful at your 9-5 job?

Hello Steemit Nation!

As stated in my introduction, I live by Peace, Gratitude and Leadership. I am certain that if each and every one of us on this planet apply these 3 words in their daily life, we will all make this great world a better place for ourselves and the future generation. Today, I will elaborate a little bit on Leadership at work.

I have personally escaped the 9 to 5 job to a 10AM to 4AM shift hahaha what a life of an entrepreneur! Most people will say it is crazy to give up an 8hrs/day job to 18hrs/day work. While the 8hrs job came with all the benefits you can imagine, the 18hrs work comes with “You Are on Your Own!” This will be another post!

I end up working hard for less, at least for now but it is OK as I have a vision; a vision that has hunted me throughout my childhood in Cameroon, to my working days in Corporate America including every milestones in between: Make a difference in the world through Leadership. I have always seen myself as that person that others count on, that person that is supposed to solve problems and make things easier for others.

This belief of myself as allowed me to always be an outstanding employee at most positions that I have held in workplaces with constant rewards. Are you currently an employee? Are you struggling to advance or earn respect from your peers? Keep reading this.

Understand that ALL companies are in business to make MONEY. You, the employee are an asset to the company. So when you are hired, understand your role. Understand the reasons why you are there. Understand the company policies and procedures as this will help you with your productivity that your boss love. Companies love volumes. No matter how accurate is your work, if you don’t meet the volume, too bad. Please know what your boss want and deliver that.

Let me say this one more time: Please READ and UNDERSTAND the Policies and Procedures of your company. This will allow you to help other team members that are very lazy to read the P&P or those who just try to memorize them. They will all be running to you for help because they have already failed when they try to memorize things that are not formulas. Helping others will set you apart and you will be greatly appreciated by your boss and your peers. You will earn all rewards that you will be tired of wining.
