DEADLY! missouri horse race catastrophe, conversation on "cruelty?" or animal emotions...

this footage given to me by a friend shows a Missouri horse race ending in tragedy, the horse broke its back, had to be put down, the guy seems to be receiving CPR during the video, don't know whether he survived or not

it seems to have had a bad start, maybe the reigns were stuck? a lot of people don't like the sport of animal racing or rodeo, there are also people who believe that the horses enjoy the sport just like us humans do, what do you think? do animals have emotions or feelings like love or sadness, are the capable of enjoying doing something?

what do you think? do the bulls enjoy chasing a clown around the pen? where is it that you draw the line?

this happened just south of the roaring river state park on the way to gateway, on the west side of the highway, just a few miles from where I live
