So I was one of the unfortunate to be affected by the outage the other day. Luckily it wasn't a situation that good of went side ways. I was simply buying some toilet paper and 2 cans of key stone black ice, and my total was 5.96. However when I went to use my card I was informed the network was down. I asked the teller all of them?, and he stated no just MasterCard. So I pulled out my trusty shape shift and paid with Bitcoin. Hahaha

i like it the only downside is if you don't already have bitcoin in your wallet. If you want to use it to make a quick transaction and have to transfer coins to the card first coinbase requires 6 confirmations which can take a loooooong time sometimes. Yes its available in the US
