I have been raising sheep and goats for a few years now and have learned so much. A few months ago an Amish man told me a little secret and I thought I should share it! Garlic works as an excellent dewormer for both sheep and goats. I had been using garlic regularly with my chickens and ducks, but hadn't thought to use it for my goats and sheep. So far it has worked fantastically and the goats and sheep eat it up without a problem!
I buy the minced garlic in large jars from either Sam's Club or Costco, depending on where I have a membership at. This particular jar is from Costco.
This is my bin of oats that I mix it with. You can mix it with any type of grain.
I scooped some oats into a bucket and added the minced garlic.
I always mix it thoroughly. If it isn't mixed well the sheep and goats can pick around it.
As you can see, the sheep and goats have no problem eating it!

Have you tried growing your own garlic. Now is the time to plant the cloves for a spring or early summer harvest!🤗
I haven't, but was just thinking about it a couple days ago. We have so much on our to-do list though that I am not sure we will have time to prepare a spot to put them this fall. A farmer's list is never ending!
Great to see you posting! Don't post too often. No more than 2 or 3 times a day is good. I usually post once a day...otherwise Id never get anything done.
Thanks for the tip! I have so much stuff to post from our trip and such still as well. Not feeling well this afternoon, so figured I would take the opportunity to figure out steemit while "resting". :)
I was just talking to someone about this earlier today!!! What are the odds?
Great minds think alike! ;)
