Double the monitor - double the fun?

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I'm on the lookout for a new monitor and there are a few decisions I have to make.

Dual Monitor or UltraWide

source

While an ultrawide monitor is def. the better-looking option - dual monitors give more pixels for the same price.

On the other hand - dual monitors create this annoying black bar in the middle. While I don't game - simply no time with @smarsteem and @smartmarket - I do want to have the possibility.

Yes - I could go tripple monitor - but that would be overkill (and too much of a price-buzz)

29 inch or 34 inch

And even if I would go for ultrawide - there still would be the queston which size.

The general opinion is that 29 would be too small but there are people out there for believe that 29 is enough.

Since I've been working on my 13 inch macbook for the last 5 years - maybe this would be enough.

Decisions. Decisions..

But what about the price ...

And all in all - money that is spent on equipement can't be spend on steempower - which is NOT good.

29 inch UW are way cheaper than 34 inch UW - but dual monitors have a way better price/value-ratio than both options.

Hm..

What do you think? Do you have an ultrawide-monitor yourself? Maybe you are also a developer - tell me what you think.

ultra wide is definitely the best for a developer, also 29inch isnt too small.

hm - you think so?

Definitely! I say you go for it.

@dunsinvv bought myself a 34" now - found it extremely underpriced in a local store and then I couldn't stop myself. But I'll make a blog post about it:)
