actually in terms of the "life" simulation, it could be from the starting point of a single cell organism, or maybe even earlier, which i don't have the vocabulary to describe. it's kinda like how AI starts with almost nothing, then slowly figures things out, and with an accelerating "upgrade" speed, optimizes its "purpose"...
is that why we humans sometimes like to question the "purpose" of our lives too? like an AI?? I always feel that humans are the AIs of the "living species", then now we are creating AIs (sort of) modeled after ourselves, like an endless Mobius Strip.
