READINGS ;- Philipians chapter 3.
MEMORY VERSE :- Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before [philippians 3;13].
There is something call opportunity cost in Economics. It is the price you pay or losses you suffer in order to gain something.
Life is about losing to gain. If you want a better tomorrow, then be prepared to make some sacrifices from time to time. It could be a personal long fast. It could be breaking bad relationship. It could be cutting the number of hours you sleep or obeying your partner even when it is very painful. It could be your tithe payment. It could be spending more time on your job or quiet tine with God daily.
You must lose to gain. The Sports star and great boxer Mohammed Alli, said he spent most of his working hours training. That means the time spent at the gym is an opportunity cost for other things not enjoyed.
You can't advance without sacrifice. Reject laziness and ask your self "what must I drop or let go in order to make faster progress this year runs into an end.
Paul said in todays basic scripture(verse 7). What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for christ. " what would you count as loss in order for you to advance in life.
A life of pleasure without a price is a lie! A life of cruising without crying is a fraud! Be determined to pay the price. Sometimes, sorrow is better than laughter (Eccl.7;3). The brief delay you are experiencing now before your breakthrough could be the price of your character moulding by God.
Your day of harvest is near. Always remember this. "Any advancement in anything involves some loss".
So, dear brethren, we all have to task risk. Freedom is not free!
