owning the home is in part the home but its more about the stability for your family and all the benefits that come from there.
statistically kids of parents who own homes perform better and have better lives across the board
why? because home ownership requires accountability and accountability puts you on the offense in life
tenant yesterday called and told me that the window broke and she needs it fixed so squirrels dont get in.
that "can't do it for myself" mentality isn't just applicable to that window, she applies that to her life and thus leads an unfulfilled life
if you aren't charged with solving your own problems in your housing you will likely pass the buck in the workplace, in your business, and in all other important areas
its not just about home ownership its about accountability.
some of you are wise enough to rent and still be empowered but most of us aren't. most of us need to be forced to be accountable.
I get passionate about this because the line of thinking is flawed and dangerous
most folks aren't over here breaking out the calc they are just going with the rent route because its the easy route
renting requires you to have $500 to get into a house. ownership requires you to have a solid credit score AND about ten times that saved.
most people don't want to go through the trouble.
