dentistry in ancient egypt !!

in #life7 years ago

The earliest evidence of our ancient dentistry is the surprisingly detailed work on the mummy teeth of Ancient Egypt as far as archaeologists date back to 2000 BC. The work shows a wire of gold knotted around the teeth.

This mummy is found with two donor teeth that drill holes in them. The wires were passed through the holes and then wrapped around the other teeth to secure them.

Yet people in colonial America thought it was a good idea to have rotting teeth. Good post!
