Today I want to talk about some thoughts I have been having recently. I usually like to post about my travel stories and my paintings and sketches but today I feel like I need to pen this down. During my travels I saw a lot of beauty. Mother nature is just wonderful and as always she left me in awe.
But I also got to witness the not so beautiful side of life and that is the problems of the common people. As you might already know, I am from India and I think you are all aware that India is riddled with problems like hunger, poverty, illiteracy and much more. Due to all these, life can sometimes be really hard here.
All these led me to think about the different pains we all go to in our lives in general. Of course, our problems are nothing in comparison to the people who live life in a constant state of insecurity, but yes, we all go through difficult times in life and it really hurts, but I also like to view both sides of a coin and try to find the positives in feeling pain also.
Pain Makes Us Stronger
Going through any experiences in life prepares us for the future. Getting familiar with a particular scenario or situation really makes you stronger in that, you won’t be affected by it much in the future if you were to ever go through the same again.
This works especially in the painful experiences of life. Once you’ve gone through a bad breakup, or the loss of loved one, you get mentally stronger. Of course, it always hurts when bad things happen to you but you are better prepared to handle your emotions. Being mentally strong is really important in life because as we all know, there are good and bad times in life, which is guaranteed.
Pain Makes You Empathetic
When you have seen a lot of bad things in life and dealt with pain, you become really empathetic because you know what it’s like and how difficult it can get. So, when you see someone going through something similar, you want to lend a helping hand and share your own experiences with them.
In today’s world, where not many people care for you, being empathetic is a really important quality to have as a person. As human beings, if we don’t care for other human beings, then isn’t that the most shameful thing for us a species? Even animals can be seen helping each other out in the animal kingdom. So, yes, pain has a positive effect in this regard too.
Pain Makes Us Better Decision Makers
As a child when you touched a flame for the first time, it really hurt. But then you learnt to never touch a flame again. Similarly, we go through tons of learning experiences that are not always gentle to us and many times they end up in tears and pain. It may be emotional, mental or physical one.
So, once we go through something like that, we are able to make better decisions in the future, because we become aware of what to do and what not to do. This is how our human race has learnt from the beginning of itself. Everything has always been trial and error. The error (pain) simply teaches you to try another way until you succeed.
True, I used to be a chronic sufferer from pain. In between when it started and when it ended, my personality has changed a lot.
It indeed changes you :)
you are really inteligent..... thanks for share
Thank you :)
Awesome post!
Thanks :)
Pain makes us choose our destinies in life
Yes, it might :)
Hey Deeksha, Are you ok? Today I would like to say that you deserve the actual price of this post whatever you'll get. If you please don't mind, I would like to say that there was not any of your effort in your last blogs. You were sharing the beauty of the India but there was a lack in your blogs and that was effort, which were not in your blogs. Effort, hard work, creativity, own thoughts were not in your blogs. You were showing the only aspect of a coin. But today I can say that you are a real girl. You are proving the girl power. You are showing the both aspects of a coin. I hope, you'll not mind what I said.
I am not saying that your travelling blogs were not good. That is also the one aspect of a coin which is joy, entertainment, fun etc. Don't take me negative.
Thanks for sharing this super amazing post. Sis, Have a good day! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Very true, you can't know what light is if you don't know darkness.
Yes that is so wise.
Pain actually makes us a better and a strong person. I understand this thoroughly because I have lost a track in my life a number of times..!!
Earlier I used to get break down..But now nothing matters much..!!
I understand and I can relate to this. Has happened many times with me too.
Cool post
Thank you :)
