So, let me start off by saying that I know the title of this post sounds really cliche and you may have heard this particular one for millions of times but I would like to talk about it still, because once you actually have a profound epiphany of its truth, your life will truly never be the same again. And it is something that happened to me only recently too.
See, human life is fragile, isn’t it? There is just no guarantee that you will live to see the light of the day tomorrow, despite all the medical facilities that are available to us in a moment’s notice. We hear about people who are totally fine and suddenly they just depart from everyone’s lives. So, yeah! Life truly is fragile.
With that understanding, would it be too much to say that every single day that you wake up alive is as good as a gift? You get to experience the sunrise, the cool morning breeze, the sounds of chirping of the birds and the best of all, you get to see the faces of your loved ones, whoever they might be, every single day. Isn’t that stuff worth living for?
What Do You Want To Do With Your Gift?
Whenever someone gifts us something, we really feel special, right? It makes us feel that the other person considers us important enough to take out the time to buy (or make) something for us and that feeling is really special. Then we either use the gift in our day to day life or showcase it for everyone else to see.
My question to you is this: Since you receive a gift of life every single day, what would you like to do with it? Do we not treat our gifts with great care? Why can’t we do the same with something as important as our own lives then? If you think I am being over dramatic, let me tell you what I have been observing recently.
I have been seeing people waste away their time doing nothing. Like, literally nothing! I have been seeing people spending time doing things that they absolutely hate when they would be much happier doing something else. I have been seeing people get indulged in the worst habits imaginable when they could have used that time to do something productive. And worst of all, I have been seeing people not wanting to be alive.
It’s Your Gift. Make The Best Use of It.
Your life and your time are precious. Don’t waste them because before you know it, they will be over. As it is said, time and tide wait for none. We all know this already and yet, see the carelessness in most people. If you continue down that path, all you’ll be left with is regret and the feeling of helplessness that go along with it.
As I like to say, you are in control of your own life and you can do whatever you wish to do with it. So, be the best version of yourself and give your best every single day. Know exactly what you want and go out and get it. Don’t take no for an answer no matter how difficult it is and no matter how hard it is.
Yes, life will throw rocks at you but hey, we all know how to dodge right? You might not believe when I say this, but if you just start living more positively, the changes that you will begin to see, big and small, will be dramatic. Some people will say that just thinking positive won’t have any effect, but hey, that’s them. It has worked out for me and so many other people as well. Anyways, it’s your life. Do the best you can. :)
it's a balancing act really. It's good to live positively but being overly positive might be delusional.
I agree ^_^
Yayy! :D
You're so right! We should be more respecful of our time. Sometimes it is necessary to remind ourself about it. In today's world is so easy to forget how much precious an hour is. Is night time here, and I'been postponing going to bed, that is not respecting my time. Thanks for your words, now I'm gonna put it in practice. Good vibes to you!
True! We all need to realize this and just follow it every day. Doing it some days won't help much.
We only get one life and as I said earlier also that we have a purpose to fulfil on Earth. Wasting time on unnecessary things completely ruins our peace of mind. We should make full use of time and life. For time is running, and life is uncertain.
I don't know about the purpose but yeah, we have one life and we should try to get as much out of it as possible. :)
Indeed, you got it right. Material things will be forgotten but the effort, love and time well spent will always be remembered and cherished....
nice one @tts I enjoyed listening the audio version of the article.
OK :D
