Great post as everyone has stated, bu ill add my little flavor. Im a ultra runner , sometimes running 50+ mile races. Water is the single most important key to finishing the race. Some runners even go as far to only drink water because there bodies cant hold the food during a 30, 50 or 100 mile race but water is paramount and will never be absent from any runners pre-race, during or post race activities. Just my 2 cents and great post
