Yeah, and getting rid of cats was the source of the Black Plague in Europe, in the 14th century. A third of Europeans died because we persecuted the cats for centuries...

Humanity tends to forget its History and keep repeating the same mistakes, over and over again. 🤦‍♂️

You are right. And I'd never thought about the lack of cats as being the primary source of Plague. But yes, it was about the time of fearing cats...

And, btw, the fact that we now mostly drink cows' milk rather than goat or sheep is because people thought that the cow was a source of plague. (One of my friends in England told me that after she came back from some museum in SW England.)

So often, humanity fears the wrong things...
