You must have heard about Bermuda Triangle and the mystery that goes with it. Over the years, a unique and unnatural phenomenon that had intrigued every one of us.
What is Bermuda Triangle?
The Bermuda Triangle is the fictitious section of the Atlantic Ocean, forming a triangle restricted by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Miami. In the past, dozens of airplanes and ships had disappeared into thin air, and the phenomenon is still unexplained to us. The imaginary triangle often called "Devil's Triangle."
Incidents recorded in Bermuda Triangle
Multiple mystic disappearances of ships and flights in Bermuda Triangle made it one of the most discussed topics over the years. We have come to know such incidents since the 1600s. The first time, in 1492, Christopher Columbus mentioned this as "strange lights and strange compass readings."
Most known Incidents
In 1945, five training flights took off from Florida naval base and never returned to base. Everyone seemed clueless, and in fact, a flying boat was sent for a search operation but, it went missing.
in 1918, a large cargo ship with 300 crew members on board, had gone missing in the triangle.
Last incident that had taken place in 2015, when a cargo ship with 30 members on board disappeared. After an extensive search for a week, search party located the ship in the Atlantic but no trace of crew members.
Theory behind those mystical incidents
Dozens of episodes over the years in Bermuda Triangle have left scientists befuddled. Many theories were postulated to explain the phenomenon.
Major theories includes
- The gas trapped under the sea can erupt and can lower the water density; this can cause a ship or even an airplane to sank into it.
- In Bermuda triangle, there is a place where both magnetic north and geographic north become same. It means compass indicates the direction as north is the actual North Pole. And the compass variation causes a big difficulty to determine the exact direction which leads to an accident.
- Some theory even suggests a gateway to another time-space dimension. People and ship had gone missing, probably had gone into another time-space, another world.
- There are other theories of "Lost City Of Atlantis.", "UFO," "Pirates." You should read out and see which one you find interesting.
