Patience isn't easy. It's something that I have to literally be patient about. I have to be patient to find my patience! It's hard to have patience to wait, but it's especially hard to always have patience with the ones you love. My patience is tested when my man shaves and leaves beard trimmings on the bathroom counter. My patience is tested when my toddler won't eat his food. My patience is tested when my baby girl won't sleep through the night. But I love them, so I choose patience. I often lose my patience, and I recognize that about myself, but I want to show love by being patient, no matter what.

I thought I was a pretty patient person until I had kids. I am not blaming the kids, to be clear. My first child was the easiest baby ever and I guess I got a little big-headed thinking that I could handle a whole gaggle of kids easily! Then #2 arrived, like a tornado. She is fiery, fierce and loves harder than anyone, but boy-oh-boy does she test my patience. I then realized that I had a lot to learn and these beautiful babies of mine were here to teach me. I just have to remember that and take lots of deep breaths! :-)
Oh, motherhood is a patience tester for sure! I was inspired to write this today because of my impatience with my baby girl this morning. I hardly slept and I got frustrated and lost my patience. It wasn't the first time and won't be last, but it made me realize that I need to work a lot harder. I made a conscious decision today to be better! My sweet girl didn't do it to frustrate me! She is teething and needs me and these moments are so precious. I know being a mom is exactly what my heart needed to grow into a better person. These little humans have my heart. ❤️

That reminds me of something @rigaronib said to me when we were young. I was 13. He wrote me a note and said, "I'm not a doctor, but I think I like you!" I still have it.
That line actually works? I tried something similar at a bar once. I said, "I'm not a doctor or anything. I'm actually unemployed..." Before I could finish, she was gone.

That's such good stuff. I appreciate the real world examples. I try not to leave my clippings on the counter, but I'm sure there are times when my wife has to be "patient" with what I miss.
It seems that if two people have patience and grace, they should be fairly set.
Remember, if you've been at church for more than a week or two, you should have learned to never pray that God will give you patience...because He will. ;)
If you pray for patience, you'll get an opportunity to be patient! ;)
