Don`t kill the talents in your children

  Hello! My name is Uliana.

Last week I visited the kid`s store to buy a toy for my nephew. One man was walking there with his son and the child asked him: «Dad, pls buy this paint for me, it`s new, I wish to paint new picture. I even imagine it and I know what it will be». His father was very tired and said very strictly «You ruined the carpenter with it last time, let`s buy a toy car or something else, it will be better»...

When I was a child and danced very well, I dreamed that I will be a great dancer but heard very often from my parents, that dancing is not a profession. That there are a lot of well paid professions such as the economists, accountants, bank employees. They earn really good money and I have to aim to get an education in this field. I also heard from adults that the artists are always very poor, that the creative specialist don`t earn enough. So, these stereotypes were walking with me through all my life. And as I know, a lot of my friends got the same information when they were young. So, what do we have now? We don`t like our job, we count the working hours and are looking for ourselves at 30 or 40 years.. Do you know that 98% of children are talented when they are started to go to kindergarten? Just 55% of children who go to high school and only 11% who finished the school. Education system kills these talents, children are not individuals there.  Let you children be creative, listen to them, and may be you`ll have a great artist or singer in your family, and you will be really proud of them.

P.S. There is our family on foto, it`s Mom and Dad. Our 3 year son made it. When he created, he came to me and asked: «Mom, do you wear a cap sometimes?», I answered «Yes, I do». He was happy and said «It`s very good, you will be more beautiful in it then», and put a cap on the head of this gorgeous little person.
