Poverty causes one unable to meet basic needs for oneself and his family that includes physical and social needs. By not being fulfilled basic human needs will become the obstacle and neglect of family members. Home is one of the basic needs that must be fulfilled by every person to support his life. The house has a huge function for individuals and families not to cover the physical aspect, but also mental and social. To support the function of the house as a good place to live, it must be fulfilled physical requirements that is safe as a shelter, mentally meet the comfort, and socially can maintain the privacy of each family member, a medium for the implementation of guidance and family education. With the fulfillment of one of the basic needs of a habitable home, it is expected to achieve family resilience.
This is one of the social activities that we do with colleagues to support the basic needs of the underprivileged and indeed must be built new because the previous house is very unfit to be inhabited by humans, by building a new house habitable. social activities are supported by various societies and elements of social institutions, support provided in the form of real and material.
our next social activity is to provide assistance to a rehabilitated wooden house, because this wooden house is still inhabitable without having to build new so it needs to be rehab in the form of replacing wood and board that has been weathered and kropos with new wood and board so that this house has come like new.
For the most part, the back wall of the house was completely dismantled and flattened by termites, the floorboards were almost completely replaced with new boards because the previous floor mats were hollowed so that many of them had been taped with short planks.
Other social activities we are doing and assisting is to build a channel for supporting the economy of the society in agriculture, this channel to meet the needs of water supply for the rice fields of the community in order to plow the fields and achieve a satisfactory harvest, because previously this neglected persawahqn can not be utilized optimally by society because of unmet water needs and no channels to water the water into the rice fields. With the construction of this channel the community with easy to supply water kesawah according to the needs and good harvest. Previously people just plow and plant rice should wait for the rainy season for the availability of water in the field and previously also often occur crop failure due to lack of water so that the soil dries and rice that has been planted also die slowly.
